Service Information

Terms & Conditions

All owners are entitled to 1 free consultation per year, or more, if a change occurs in the animals requirements or change of address. There're no booking, administration, or agency fees.

Owners must provide pet vaccination certificates, during a consultation (particularly for dogs, cats and rabbits).

All pets should be provided with suitable flea and worming treatments.

It is recommended that pets are micro-chipped.

Owners must give 24 hours notice, before their Daily Home Visit, or Dog Walk service is due to start, if they need to cancel. A cancellation fee, of 50% of the total service booked, will apply, if this fails to be taken into consideration, unless due to a provable emergency situation, at our discretion, by showing your Veterinary receipt. 48 hours notice must be given, if owners have reserved a Day Care or Holiday Stay placement, and the full rate must be paid, if this is not given. Please inform us if you are going to return late, as we should be able to accommodate for. Refunds are at the animal carers discretion, if requested no less than 24 hours before a Daily Home Visit or Dog Walk service is due to start, or 48 hours before a Dog Day Care or Overnight, unless the Animal Carer is already en route, in which case, the total is still required. Deposits may be required.

It is a legal requirement, under The Control of Dogs Order 1992, that dogs wear a collar and tag with the owners details.

All dogs, requiring a Home Boarding or Day Care Service, must be well socialised, accepting, and show no signs of aggression towards other animals. All dogs are to undergo a trial session, to assess.

Amity Pet Care reserve the right to cut any Dog Walk short, if we feel that the safety of either your dog, or ourselves, is being compromised. The remaining duration can be spent at the home. We will provide feedback if we experience a problem, to try to resolve.

Payments can be made by cash or cheque, made payable to Amity Pet Care, and provided during a consultation, left for when the service is due to start, or given no later than 1 week after a service has finished.

Please inform and advise Amity Pet Care of any allergies, medical or behavioural problems, which your pets have experienced. We're happy to administer medication, when required.

Although Amity Pet Care have confidently worked with a variety of animal species, we cannot take responsibility for potentially aggressive dogs, such as guard dogs. This is both for our safety, and that of other animals.

Amity Pet Care are insured to hold keys, but hold no responsibility for house keys. It is the owners responsibility to collect their keys, if they do not want them to be put in their post box, or handed over directly, at the final visit.

All current services and fees are subject to change at any time.

It is the owners responsibility to insure their own home, and belongings. Amity Pet Care hold no responsibility for the loss or damage to any personal items, including owners home, garden, or any other property, pet food, medication, collars, leads, bowls, harnesses, bedding, toys, treats, etc. We will take care of all belongings, to the best of our ability, but all are left at your own risk.

It is the owners responsibility to insure their own pets. All pets, whilst in our care, are covered by our specialist and extensive insurance, but we recommend that all owners take out their own pet insurance to cover injury or illnesses, and owners are responsible for the payment of any Veterinary bills. If Veterinary assistance is required, owners, or emergency contacts will be informed.

We may be able to supply certain relevant equipment, but owners should supply items which they wish to be used. Including all pet, and cleaning products.

Regular updates of your animals progress, if requested, can be via text, for owners within the UK,  via e-mail, or Facebook message.

Home Visit and Dog Walk prices include a small contribution towards fuel costs and travel expenses, up to 6 miles from our base, to and from your location. Any owners located out of this area will be charged a small extra fee, using the shortest/quickest route.

Secondary tasks may be available during a Daily Home Visit Service: vacuuming or mopping of floors, cleaning of pet beds, removal of faeces from gardens, collection of post, plant watering.

Due to our strict, regulated routines and standards, Amity Pet Care hold no personal liability or responsibility for the loss, illness, injury or death for any animal in our care, or damage caused by the animal. Any additional fees, no matter how incurred, are the responsibility of the owner, to be paid in full. Any Veterinary fees are to be paid, in full, directly to the Veterinarian, or to Amity Pet Care.
